Examining the interpretation method of Mujahid bin Jubeir and Saeed bin Jubeir

Mujahid and Saeed were the first among the followers to interpret the Qur'an in special ways. In the Qur'an sciences, knowing the method of interpretation of commentators, especially functional commentators, is historically very important for us. The hypothesis of the research was that Mujahid bin Jubeer and Saeed bin Jubeer used special methods in interpreting the verses of the Holy Quran. This research, which was carried out using the library method, reached the following results: Mujahid and Saeed were both prominent commentators and the first people in the science of interpretation; Both commentators have used four methods of interpretation, i.e. interpretation of the Qur'an with the Qur'an, interpretation of the Qur'an with the Sunnah, rational interpretation and literary interpretation; While these two commentators have commonalities in using the mentioned four methods, there are also differences in their methods.The questions that have been tried to be answered in this article are: How did the need to interpret the Holy Quran arise? What methods did Mujahid bin Jubeir use in interpreting the Holy Quran? What methods did Saeed bin Jubeir use in interpreting the Qur'an?
