Abstract

Death in contrast to life is a familiar term and is considered a matter of course for all human beings, and the awakened conscience and human experience acknowledges it. The basic question is, what action should a person take when facing this inevitable phenomenon, should he forget it and spend his life waiting for it to arrive, or should he always remember death in life and prepare himself for it. In the teachings of the religion of Islam, there are many orders to change the destiny and happiness of man, and one of these orders is to try to understand the truth of death and think about it. From the point of view of Quranic teachings and authenticity, death thinking has many positive effects in human life, for example, we can mention its educational effects. In this article, an attempt has been made to investigate the effects of death thoughts in spiritual life with a descriptive and analytical approach, relying on educational works from the perspective of verses and traditions. It can be said that truth-seeing, purposefulness of life, development of attitude and thought, strengthening of devotional dimension, performing religious tasks and duties, self-improvement and piety in humans are among the effects of death thinking; And among the factors that strengthen the belief in death and its memory is knowing the origin, strengthening the knowledge of death and the possibility of its occurrence, thinking about the future and one's destiny, and the obstacles to thinking about death: lack of correct knowledge of death, negligence, following the whims of the ego.
